Our first CD

Our first CD was finished this past July. Thanks to all the hard work that Rick does behind the scenes our music has been played on a bunch of radio stations, both in the U.S. and around the world. That's been a real thrill. One time my daughter and I got in the car and as soon as I started driving I heard our song “Good Girl” played on 103.3, Asheville FM. That was a big moment for me. Another huge moment was when Josh caught us being played on Local Color on WNCW. Being played around the world is an amazing feeling, but being played at home is special in a whole other way.

So we finished the CD and sent it around, waited a minute, and started on the next one. We are really excited about this one for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, because we are starting this one together as a band. Our band was formed during the making of the last one, so it all came together as we went along. But starting fresh as a team is very exciting. The second reason why we are excited is because we learned a lot during the making of the first one. Like for example, that I was singing everything in keys that were too low for me. It's been great having the input of the band to help me figure out where I should be. And the result feels like I get to fly around in the clouds after I've spent way too much time slogging through the mud. Thank you guys.

It's going to take a long while to get this CD done. We all have very busy day to day lives. We fit practice in, we fit some shows in, and we come in and lay down tracks when we are able. It might be a slow process, but every little bit of it is ours and that is a fine thing.
